Recently having seen a 19% year on year sales growth, VOW Ireland is right up there as one of the most important businesses in Ireland. In a recent mid- year event held in Dublin’s Aviva Stadium, Vow brought together speakers from some of their largest clients. We’ve brought you some of the biggest lessons taught at the VOW Ireland event to give you some information about how to improve your business going into the second half of 2015.

Built to help reselling agencies, the VOW summit was focussed on office supplies, from ways to expand product lines to the ways that new regulation can affect the cleaning products you sell through your eCommerce site. At eTailThis we have 10 years of experience offering the only complete eCommerce package on the market, and have seen great success at managing office supplies for our clients. We’ve looked through the presentations to give you the most important information for your office supplies business this year.

What to learn from the June 2015 VOW summit

Much of the VOW event was dedicated to specific training for those working directly with VOW, but there are some truly important lessons for any office supplies reseller to learn from the event. With a recent change to CLP (classification, labelling and packaging) laws, you’ll likely see some change to the cleaning products you provide, as labels are redesigned to give better and more immediately comprehensible information about product contents.

It’s always important to give your customers a complete set of information about the products you provide for their offices, so make sure that you keep aware of any big changes happening with the cleaning products you offer.

While it’s tempting to rest on the laurels of your success in reselling office supplies, you should be aware that the world of office supplies is ever changing, and failing to keep up with the latest trends can be detrimental to your business. Preparing for the summit, VOW Ireland managing director Ashley Burke pointed to workplace snacks, personal care items and premium coffee as major areas for growth, reflecting a more luxury- orientated workplace that it’s important to keep up with.

Make sure that your office supplies business stays on top of demand, giving your customers exactly what they’re looking for when it comes making a purchase. Moving away from the traditional world of office supplies may seem daunting, but with VOW Ireland fully dedicated to expanding product lines, you can be sure that your business will benefit from the change.
